Masque Macabre | AUB Production (January - May 2023)
project brief
For my final major project, I had the pleasure of working on an AUB Production in collaboration with BA(Hons) Costume, BA(Hons) Performance Design & Film Costume, BA(Hons) Acting and BA(Hons) Make-Up for Media & Performance.
Working alongside a team of 15 student makers, 4 student designers and 2 student supervisors, I was tasked with creating an array of custom garments to fit an actor for use in theatre production, working alongside my assigned designer to bring their vision to life. Altogether, I produced a petticoat, top skirt, day wear bodice, evening wear bodice and a shawl.
The experience of working on a live production alongside a talented team of creatives, and creating a custom selection of garments while adhering to a fitting schedule, was incredibly rewarding and educational, and I learnt a lot about the real-life application of costume theatre skills.
